The data is excerpted from the <em>Bulgarian Parliamentary Corpus<\/em>. In the Corpus 291 forms of the verb <em>\u043e\u0442\u043a\u0440\u0430\u0434\u043d\u0430 (to steal<\/em>) are documented and 169 of them are passive. There are 159 documented uses of the past passive participle of the verb <em>\u043e\u0442\u043a\u0440\u0430\u0434\u043d\u0430 (to steal<\/em>). 152 of the them are agentless and in 7 of them there is an agentive phrase. The data of our research confirms the understanding that the main function of the passive voice is to serve as a means to avoid mentioning the agent. In the swimming educational process, the learning objectives depend on the age and degree of preparation of the learners, the duration of training, and the conditions for its implementation. The unification of the terminology would improve the conditions in the educational process and would create better conditions for preliminary theoretical preparation. The development of a sports terminology dictionary for swimming has numerous benefits, both for specialists and amateurs in the field of sports. Due to the specific characteristics of the aquatic environment, improving the terminology and signaling system would improve the communication between the coach and the trainees. The opportunities provided by well-known and properly selected terminology, as well as various verbal and non-verbal methods, will optimize the swimming training process. This study examines the role of situational expressions in the process of acquiring Turkish as a foreign language, with a focus on the pragmatic and intercultural competence of learners. The aim is to analyze learners\u2019 perceptions, strategies, and difficulties in using these culturally and socially marked linguistic units, as well as how they are presented in instructional materials. Using a mixed methodology \u2013 which includes surveys, recognition and usage tests, discourse analysis, and an analysis of six leading textbooks \u2013 it is established that although learners can recognize some frequently used expressions, they face challenges in their appropriate use due to a lack of cultural context, intonational cues, and social orientation. The results indicate that situational expressions are often taught in isolation from the authentic contexts in which they actually function, which limits the development of pragmatic competence. It is based on examples excerpted from learning materials designed for cadets and students of Navigation at Varna Naval Academy, all of them compiled in the Learner\u2019s English-Bulgarian Maritime Dictionary and forming a large corpus representative of the domain they are used in. The article is an analytical attempt to explain the new tendencies in Bulgarian literature. In the last decade the book market shows a constant trend of searching and selling lifestyle novels, which are very popular among reading public including students. One of the biggest part of this kind of writing comprises so called literature about women written by women or chick lit. The focus of the article is put on analysing two very popular and easy to see leanings in those texts \u2013 one that tries to reflect some features, values and norms typical for Bulgarian traditional culture (illustrated by novel Thread), and the second \u2013 that manifests the trends of new, third-wave feminism (demonstrated in the novel Yoga, Love and Other Myths). As is well known, case is one of the most complex linguistic abstractions, and it is important to trace how the views of scholars from different eras have evolved. Dr. Long translated into Bulgarian two short novels \u2013 \u201cThe Dairyman\u2019s daughter\u201d (1864) and \u201cThe History of Little Henry and his Bearer\u201d (1864), as well as the novel \u201cPilgrim\u2019s Progress\u201d by John Bunyan (1866), a number of poems and hymns. This article focuses on his translation strategies and his work with texts. It examines the stylization through the use of colloquial expressions and vocabulary from the Bulgarian language of the Renaissance period, the conscious archaisation of the translated text, and the introduction of authorial neologisms. In general, in his translations of fiction A. Long achieves not only a formal but also a semantic equivalent of the translated text by adding lexemes, additional connotation, choosing a stylistically marked translated equivalent. As a translator A.
