Abstract.<\/strong> The article examines the organization of the training module \u201cIntroduction to personal computers\u201c. It describes the created, by using information technology, an innovative electronic textbook as a new tool of self-learning. The electronic textbook is defi ned as an automated training system that includes didactic, methodical and reference materials in a different subject and also it\u2019s a program of self-learning and knowledge control. There is a detail comparison between the traditional print textbooks and their electronic analogues. It\u2019s presented a brief description of how to use this software product.
