Abstract.<\/strong> This paper presents the results of a study dealing with the relevance of morpho-syntactic markers of the rheme in simple and complex assertive sentences
in Russian discourse. We have analyzed the word order and morpho-syntactic schemes in the simple sentences of complete, incomplete and elliptic types, and the negative assertions. The demonstrative pronoun eto associated with the noun or pronoun is often found to introduce different types of focus, i.e. neutral, contrastive
and exclusive focalisations. The complex sentences are characterized by hierarchic segmentation depending on the relations between the constituents of the sentence
parts. Thus, cleft sentences with complex relative conjunction subordination link are used to nominalize and disjoin to the left the topical frame of the utterance, the
rheme constituting the rest of the predicative relationship.<\/p>\n

Abstract.<\/strong> The article discusses the results of a survey conducted among 12-grade secondary students aiming to establish the ratio between the languages studied at school and out of school as well students\u2019 evaluation of Bulgarian and foreign language education with regard to their effi ciency.
