THE ROLE OF FINGERPLAYS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF LANGUAGE SKILLS WHEN TEACHING ENGLISH IN THE KINDERGARTEN<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abstract.<\/strong> Fingerplays, most commonly used at pre-school age, are hand actions or movements with \ufb01 ngers in combination with singing or spoken-words aimed at engaging the attention and interest of the child. They have many educational bene\ufb01ts at preschools age. The article describes the neuro-physiological mechanisms by which \ufb01nger plays prove to be resourceful means for developing young children\u2019s \ufb01ne motor skills, and how it helps them to explore the world and develop their intellectual potential. In addition to the neurohysiological aspect, \ufb01nger plays are also considered from the point of view of the psycho-pedagogical and speech development in TEFL at the pre-school period. Attention is paid to \ufb01nger and hand actions as integral part of Jolly Phonics Programme. It is a fun and child centered approach to teaching literacy through synthetic phonics. With actions for each of the 42 letter sounds, the multi-sensory method is very motivating for children and teachers, who can see their students achieve. As a source of positive emotions, they smoothly and subconsciously introduce the child to the world of foreign language. They activate the creative imagination, develop the intellect, enrich it with skills that children can use at later stages of language acquisition \u2013 reading and writing. Finger plays stimulate listening skills and attention, oral language, pre-reading and pre-writing skills, learning vocabulary and grammar.<\/p>\n

Abstract. <\/strong>Children\u2019s self-acceptance is part of the child\u2019s self-esteem. An essential step in the formation of the Self is the process of self-expression. This process can be supported by numerous activities in the kindergarten, but especially would be in\ufb02uenced by the child\u2019s participation in imaging activities. As an independent (individual) practice, its own pictorial activity simultaneously re\ufb02ects and projects the psycho-emotional needs of the child. Essential role in the child\u2019s drawing is the color play. His choice reveals the positive and \/ or negative attitude of the child towards the world around him. Abstract.<\/strong> In this paper are shared aspects of including training of the so-called \u201cdifferent\u201d or \u201cspecial\u201d children. Every child is inherently different and special; something which is considered by each teacher in his or her pedagogical activity, reaching the most secret recesses of the child\u2019s mentality with professionalism and love. The most important thing for a child with special educational needs is to be accepted with understanding, without derision and mockery, and this can be possible with the different pedagogical approaches and team work. Preschool preparation of \u201csuch\u201d children is expressed by means of concreteness and speci\ufb01city of individual educational program. We share our practice about correctly and accurately prepared individual thematic plans which are consistent with both the individual needs of the child and with a weekly distribution of educational content in all educational \ufb01elds.<\/p>\n
