article discusses the issue of inequality in accessibility and quality of education, which is rightly considered to be one of the most signi\ufb01cant <br \/>and current in contemporary socio-political and pedagogical research. That is why the quality of their continuing quali\ufb01cation is one of the key issues not only in Bulgaria but also in Europe. The paper will present results of a national survey research related to the continuing training of pedagogical staff in Bulgaria, conducted in 2015 by a team of professors from the Faculty of Education of the oldest university in Bulgaria \u2013 So\ufb01a University \u201cSt. Kliment Ohridski\u201d. The results represent the teachers\u2018 opinions about the current state of the system, but also their vision of it. TEACHER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract.<\/strong> The article presents the problem of the characteristics of the teacher\u2019s profession and the qualities that the teacher has to possess. Analyzed are empirical data from a study which has been performed by the author, aimed at differentiating the signi\ufb01cant personal and professional qualities of the specialists exercising the teaching profession. The school of today requires openness, humanization, interaction, innovation. The priorities in the teacher\u2019s activity and the demands that society puts before his personality are constantly changing. The aim of this study is to highlight the important qualities that teachers need <br \/>to have in order to effectively ful\ufb01l their professional roles. Research methods \u2013 content analysis, test, correlation analysis, rang scaling. In order to achieve this <br \/>goal, a test was used called \u201cIdentifying the qualities of a good teacher\u201d developed and presented by Sabine, G., How Students Rate Their Schools and Teachers. The test was published in \u201cExperimental Pedagogy\u201d by Dono Vassilev. The main objective is to diagnose the dimensions of this professionally signi\ufb01cant quality. THE SENSE OF COUNTING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract.<\/strong> The aim of this article is to analyze the sense of counting, its mani-festation and development while building on the views of some authors regarding <br \/>cognitive activity, anticipation, the interrelationship between logic and intuition, the use of visuals and the system approach. The methods which are used imply appro-priate selection of tasks in which the learning information is synthesized around ba-sic concepts with regulatory functions. Two geometric tasks are used to demonstrate the results of the analysis. The \ufb01rst one requires the counting of dots in a construc-tion. Several solutions have been offered which incorporate different approaches to \ufb01nding the solution i.e. counting. The second task requires the counting of triangles in a geometric drawing. The discovery of the right solution has been described with an emphasis on rationality in counting, realized through the means of pre-search of repetitive structures. Detailed intermediate drawings reflecting the individual stages of arriving at a decision have been prepared for this task. In addition, there are four extra Combinatorics tasks to be solved without the use of ready-made formulas. <br \/>What is important for these tasks is to master the algorithm that will facilitate count-ing.
