Absract. The purpose of the research was to study the attitudes of young people in Bulgaria towards the main characteristics of online education during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research was conducted in the period May – June 2021. The object of the survey was 299 young people aged 19 to 30 years. All were students at various Bulgarian universities in bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. The main instrument that was used was a questionnaire on students’ satisfaction with online education, which contains 25 items. Regression and variation analysis, as well as Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis non-parametric coefficients, were applied for statistical processing of the data. The analysis of the results revealed the satisfaction of young people with the following dimensions of pedagogical interaction during the online education: learner – content, learner – instructor, learner – learner, learner – technology. No differences were found in students' attitudes depending on gender, educational level and place of residence. The conducted research points to the role of students’ satisfaction as the main quality indicator of online education
